A real life superhero that changed the world

Dreams can change the world

I  believe dreams are a snapshot of the future and change the world.  The information that you consume and believe will develop the fabric of dreams.  Born in Anderson, South Carolina, friends and family probably never imagined his dreams would ever come true. Chadwick Boseman was the only person to see himself as an actor and director. His belief and desire was the catalyst that fueled his success.

A brilliant career

Blessed to use his craft to depict the beauty and power of the African American struggle.  Boseman is an example of how dreams do come true and exceed your own expectations. You will never know what you can be until you dare to dream.

Dream come with obstacles

Last week the world suffered a tragic loss.  Chadwick Boseman lost his battle to colon cancer.  Boseman suffered the disease in silence, but he never stopped living his dreams. Greatness comes from the ability to mange your struggles regardless of there enormity to make your dream a reality.

The Black Panther left an enormous imprint on the world

Black Panther, although a fictional character, left a legacy to the world that will never be forgotten. Young black children finally have a superhero that looks like them and shares their cultural ancestry. The beautiful reality of Boseman’s character has transcended race. It is mind-blowing to see children of all races with Black Panther dolls yelling Wakanda forever with their arms crossed. I am sure that was the most incredible dream to come true for Boseman.

All dreams come at a price

The highest price we pay for our dreams is time. Time is the only common denominator that makes us all equal. Once it is gone, it never returns. Make sure you use it wisely and unregretfully.  Mike Tyson once describe his life as “old too fast, smart too slow.”

It takes more to achieve your dreams than waking up

IT TAKES!!

Passion: Makes dreams become action and hard work gives the dream life.  Be fearless! It will take everything inside of you to live the life you have imagined.

Preparation:  The more prepared you become by taking classes, reading books, and studying your craft. The more significant the vision appears. “The more you learn, the more you earn,” Jim Kwik

Practice:  Chadwick Boseman recited his lines daily to become the Black Panther, Serena Williams served the ball thousands of times before she won her first US Open, and Michael Phelps swim six miles a day before winning gold.

Patience: It takes time to catch your dream. Be ready to go the distance. Rarely do we wake up and our goal is positioned in front of us.

Persistence: “Never ever give up.”  The late North Carolina State coach Jim Valvano

Conclusion

The dream may not be a fictional superhero from Wakanda. However, I do encourage you to dream big and to chase the future.  The world is waiting to see who you become. It will take courage, time, and hard work, but you are worth it.
