My brother Tyrone passed away last year on March 3, 2020. Unfortunately, his death occurred a week before the Coronavirus travel restriction and the sheltered-in-place order were issued. Due to the as mentioned events, we did not have a funeral service or a memorial.

This weekend is the anniversary of his passing. I would like to share a few words. I would like to thank everyone from Niagara Falls for sharing Tyrone’s life. You were more than friends; you were his family.  I would especially like to thank his former band members from the Fabulous Fadelics who became A Whole Lot of Thangs: Ronald Laster, Kevin Dobbs, Kenny Grice, Kathy Jordan Sharpton, Archie Walker, Albert Campbell, Terry White, Tyler Mims, Jeff Brandy, and Walter Meeks. If I have forgotten anyone, I apologize; I am doing this from memory. The 1970s band culture in Niagara Falls was incredible during the funk era. For those who knew him well, this was the best time in Tyrone’s life. Tract II, The Friendship house, and the Community Center were weekend hot spots for the city’s youth. He loved being on stage performing with his friends and all of you. The Fadelics gave us a reason to be cool! They inspired many young bands and musicians who are still successfully performing today. Keep representing Niagara Falls brothers and sisters. This is not a post of mourning; this is a celebration of his life. When you think of him, remember the good times when you laughed, sang, and danced to the music. Thank you all for loving and supporting my brother Tyrone. He will be missed.
